Friday Flowers Club #33~Ness
Hello Friends.
I spent the last week visiting my brother and his partner in Inverness. I have come to view this place happily, as one of solace and solitude, with access to my three favourite things on the doorstep; forests, beaches and open water.
I read a few days ago about the folklorian concept of Autumn being the actual new year. A time to retreat reflect and regenerate ahead of an oncoming Winter, casting off the accumulated debris of the preceding twelve months and returning to self, moving forward unencumbered. What a lovely idea. It was not lost on me the way that my short break mirrored this. A retreat to a homeland, time to pause and reflect, reconnect with my brother and drawing energy to regenerate from the towering Pines and the sand between my toes and, of course, swimming in the rejuvenating waters of Loch Ness.
A release of what has been, a rejuvenation for what is to come.
Flowers this week will mirror the colours of my autumn forest finds.
Have a lovely week and as always, “Bringing the Outdoors In”.
Thank you.
Nicola
